Death Valley information update:

Rental season is Labor Day through Memorial Day as the summer months are too hot, which we see as a safety issue that we are not prepared for.

We have had a wonderful first season and look forward to returning in the Fall.

Reservations will be taken for next season by phone or online.

During the summer, phones are forwarded to one of our other locations.

All of our other Farabee locations are open during the summer months.

We recommend 1 to 2 weeks in advance, but we often have Jeeps available if you call us the same day. However, some weekends (holidays and local events) are sold-out months in advance. For weekend and holiday rentals, please book as early as possible. Available departure times vary throughout the year, so please call in advance for the most timely service.
Our standard 2-door Jeep Wrangler seats four. Four-door Wranglers have five seatbelts--great if you have children, but we recommend no more than 4 adults for comfort.
Farabee Jeeps are permitted on ALL open public roads and 4x4 trails. Our knowledgeable and friendly staff will help you find trails suitable to your interests and desired level of adventure. Farabee’s staff is happy to review trail maps with you, so that you will know how to find the trail, what you may expect with the current conditions, and how to handle the more adventurous parts of the trail. Farabee’s has a list of favorite trails to recommend, but there are thousands of miles of trails in the area, so you will never run out of places to explore.
It is unusual to get enough rain that it causes problems or closures on our trails. Our Jeeps are fully enclosable so that you may still enjoy the trails in comfort.
Since our Jeeps are new, and we provide you with thorough trail information, it is unusual for our guests to encounter difficulties or problems, but it does occasionally happen. If you have any questions or difficulties, please do not hesitate to call us immediately. We are happy to answer trail questions, render assistance, or coordinate any necessary recovery you may need.

Some areas have restrooms nearby, but for more remote areas you may expect bathroom stops to consist of thick patches of trees or shrubs. You may wish to carry toilet paper in a ziplock bag in order to pack out used paper products. Please keep our forests and trails clean—pack out your trash!
Yes. We are happy to take a credit card payment over the phone and send you a gift certificate or email you a version that you can print at home on standard paper. Very popular for birthday and holiday gifts for that hard-to-buy-for person on your list! Note that all drivers must be 25 or older with a valid credit card and insurance, regardless of method of payment.
